It's nice to not have my sharp paring knives clattering around within the silverware drawer, damaging their edges or my fingertips whereas scrounging around. lots of area for spreaders and alternative utility utensils. The vertical spacing may be a bit slim. The handles of a number of my larger knives (and cleaver) bump the adjacent row inflicting them to rest at a small angle. Not an enormous deal unless you are a neat freak. i used to be aggravated that my block came coated with dense hidden sawdust on the within of the slots. I had to get rid of and clean all my knives, then used compressed air to blast out the dirt. | |||
